valdleik
Which programs will you recommend for solving mod problems. I have loaded a lot of mods, but I'm experiencing a desktop crash problem(earlier thread)...
Crisb92
I use Wrye Bash and Oblivion Mod Manager, type them into google or ask for a link and I'll get back to you. Also, run a defrag and clean up your system, even if it doesn't help with the crashes, it'll make it go faster when you get it working again. Look through readmes and so on to check for conflicts that may make a difference, also using the big four (or five with Bob) of FCOM is a nightmare, what with load orders and so on. Good luck! valdleik
Thanks Cris, I've been reading a bit on error searching and managing mods. I think I will uninstall oblivion with all mods, and start all over again. At least I dont have to download all the mods this time. I really wanna make this work, since it adds so many things the original game lacks. I have OBMM but not wrye bash. figured out I needed it. Then I will install all the five big overhauls and make them work, then go on by adding other mods, those I find most important/enhancing first. According to readmeas many mods only needs to be copied to the oblivion\data folder, but then I only get the mod displayed in the load order window using OBMM. Not in the window to the left where you have these coloured dots, and can choose to activate/diactivate the entire mod. Will it help copiing the mod to the data folder, then using the add folder or archive feature in OBMM?
TheTerminator2004
The window listing the load order is the one showing all the ordinary .esp files, you can activate/deactivate them there. The other one, with the colored blobs lists all the OMODs you have installed. An omod is a special type of file used with OBMM, which contains all the esps, meshes, textures, etc in one file, then copies them to the data folder when you start the game, so it doesn't get to cluttered, and is much easier to organise your mod collection.
