Farlo
One of my favorite mods, the All-in-One basement, died off a few years ago, and about a year ago I picked it up and made my own version, found here. In anticipation of Skyrim and boredom, I've decided to pick up Oblivion and this mod again. I'm probably going to stick with the same base, at least for now while I get into the swing of things again, but eventually I'd like to rework the entire mod and add in a lot of features (most of them stated in the comments section). Anyways, I just wanted to make a post and start up some discussion/feedback on the mod while I start working. For the most part, I'd like to stay away from this becoming a "godmode" mod, or one that makes the player extremely overpowered given the world around him, if that makes sense at all. I am more hoping to create something along the lines of A Better Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary or ImpeREAL City, adding a new area that can act as a universal player base, but not allowing someone to travel instantly across the map or give free and easy access to very powerful magic (as it does now); kind of like how storages and banks operate in MMOs. I first plan on touching up and fixing some of the issues with the current setup, such as removing/making purchasable the alchemy lab and enchanting tables and perhaps making an Alchemy Lab and Armory unlocked or bought separately from the main room. The next goal would be the expansion/redesign of the actual areas, including different themes and styles, along with finalizing my goals for how the area will expand and progress, through purchases, "vanilla" quests, or even some of my own. Finally would be integration with other mods, compatibility issues, and maybe even a door that you buy and can place anywhere, allowing the user to connect any modded or custom homes to the basement. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, and I'd love to hear about more ways to improve it. Also, if you're interested in helping me actually make the mod, please let me know! Especially if you're good at interior design or know the Construction Set well, I'd love to have the extra help, and I'm not entirely sure I know enough about modding to fully realize my idea yet.
