Ranokoa
I do not know if this request has been made before, or what the situation of possibility there is for it, but I spend almost all my time here at the Nexus now pretty much in the chat only. And there happen to be people whom have caused me a considerable amount of agitation, as well as the normal trolls that pop in every now and then that would be just so VERY lovely to be able to ignore ALL comments made by them, not just the ones in Private Chat. I already never respond, and haven't to most of the people whom I have decided to ignore their existence for a few months now, but I can't help but read what they say. And I don't mean like "curiosity gets the best of me," I am talking about the fact that by looking at the posts I do want to read, I accidentally read the ones I do not that are in my periphery. PLUS the common troll that will eventually be banned can simply be ignored completely as well. No longer a helpless wait for a moderator to finally pop in. Usually the moderators are on in time to get them, but for chat frequenters, there are all too many occasions of a few hours with an annoying troll. So what is the chance of a complete ignore feature? Be well, sleep well, fight well, live long.~Ranokoa
alonsomartinez
I don't think the chat functions can be edited by anyone other than IP.Board.
KDStudios
I -believe- that IP.Chat is completely separate from the nexus and such functions either can't be edited or are too complicated.I could be wrong however. As you can add emoticons to the chat from the nexus, perhaps it can be added.
Ranokoa
To my experience, that is to say not much in recent years, (very recent years, but.. Heck, the internet changes and updates so rapidly.) there are customizable features, such as the emoticons you said, but those features are limited to very specific things. So you may still actually be right. It would be so very great, however, if Dark0ne could find a way to get an ignore feature and or a new chat that is just as good for relatively the same price but with said feature. The longer we have the chat the more it seems to be a missing necessity. Be well, sleep well, fight well, live long.~Ranokoa
Ranokoa
Can I get some official word on the possibility of this?
Deleted1848331User
Does ignoring them completely (blocking all posts by adding to your ignore user list) block the posts in the chat as well? I don't have anyone blocked, so I can't really test it unless I intentionally do it.
KDStudios
IP.Chat is completely unrelated to the nexus as far as I'm aware in terms of adding them to the ignore list.I don't use the chat so it doesn't really affect me, the chat I do use on my site does have an ignore feature. So it wouldn't be hard to make from the IP.Chat side... but it's whether or not Dark0ne (or another admin) could make the necessary changes to it from their side. Pronam
Indeed, IP.Chat is hosted by IPS. I doubt they'd like you manually making changes to their products or maybe they'll simply drop support completely for it and as it's not known to be bug-less it seems the wrong path to walk into. The emoticons being available is a standard feature from IP.Chat.
Ranokoa
Then is it too late to request a chat change to one that supports it? xD I guess I'll make a poll about it then, considering it seems to be the only way to go if it were to happen.
