Modded Items are Appearing Invisible in Game

I recently spent a lot of time re-downloading all of my old mod after i found out that they failed to work after the most recent Fallout 4 update. after a long time of moving files and verifying my game cache, i got FO$ to run without CTD at the start. after playing for a bit, i noticed all the items that mods had added to the game where invisible, and some texture overhauls had not taken place yet. For example, all of the new workbenches that where added with the Crafting Workbenches mod had no icon in the construction menu, and when constructed, they would not appear and where seemingly non existent (even though the materials used to make them where consumed). I also noticed upon equipping the modded Combat Power Armor to my power armor frame, it would not appear, giving the appearance of an empty frame even though it stated that the armor was equipped. I've seen this problem a couple times throughout the nexus forums, as well as the steam forums, but none of the fixes seem to work for me. I'm sure i haven't tried all of them, though.

I have properly added the lines of data to my Fallout4.ini and Fallout4Custom.ini files necessary for game modifications.

I also use Nexus Mod Manager, which says that all the mods are properly installed, as well as the in-game mod manager, which too states the the mods i got from the nexus are working in the game.

Any help would be great, and thanks in advance.

(My fallout4.ini and Fallout4Custom.ini are on my Hard Drive, While my main fallout 4 data is on my SSD, if that is any kind of a problem.)

I have been having the issue as well and I was talking back and forth with someone on a mod page and the mod author said the ba2 files were not in the data folder where they should be and someone said that NMM is having problems installing games properly. So if that information helps fix it or if someone knows how.

Open your Fallout4Custom.ini

Check if the following exists:

[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
If it doesn't, that's your problem.

Those lines are in Fallout4Custom.ini . Would having the fo4 on an ssd and the Fallout4Custom.ini file on an hdd make this happen

No. I run the game from one of the SSDs and the documents folder with the inis is on a normal HD, so that's not it.

Do you by any chance use UI altering mods? DEF_UI? MyHUD? Pleasant UI? Any of these, unless updated, can screw with all kinds of things in your game so if you use any UI changing mod, check if there are updates. If not, deactivate it, uninstall it. In that order. After that go to your Fallout 4 root folder -> Data. If there is a folder called Interface, make a backup of it (copy&paste the interface folder to a different hard drive or simply compress it with winrar or something and drop the archive on your desktop). Now delete the Interface folder and fire up your game.

I don't use interface mods, but I checked the data folder for the interface folder on the off chance that I had one at some point and no dice.

Weird. The only other thing I can think of is that you have NMM and FO4 installed on different drives and Multi HD support isn't checked in the NMM settings.

You could also post your loadorder, that's stored in the plugins.txt, a hidden folder you can reach by clicking on start, typing %localappdata%/fallout4 in the search box followed by hitting return/enter. Open the plugins.txt file and copy&paste the content here. Use the spoiler tag for it, it's usually a rather long list. Maybe something is overwriting your mods or they are not activated at all.
