I need help adding my mods I created for Fallout 4

Recommended Posts

I need some help I created some of my own custom Military weapons in Cinema 4D, I would like to use them in Fallout 4 but I don't know how to add them into the creation kit for Fallout 4. I am pretty good at Modeling with Cinema 4D but I am so new to modding. I am very creative and would like to make mods for Fallout 4. A lot of the things I want in the game I am pretty sure no one will do it so I am going to do it myself and I want to put myself out there as I have always wanted to try building my own mods but I have yet to see a tutorial on how to add your models that you created in the 3D program that you use. I really don't want to use the creation kit to build my mods I only really want to use it to get my mods to work with the game.

I just want to know how do I get my mods into the Creation kit so that I can get them to work with the game and share them. I plan to build my own weapon Mods, clothing Mods and maybe some follower mods for the game. I would also like to go back into skyrim so I can create my own mods for that game as well. I really do like Fallout 4 a lot I am a huge fan of Boston and its Culture, and would like to expand the game with my creativity.

I have 3D models that I have created in Cinema 4D that I was going to use to make my own 3D cartoon animations but it takes a lot of work to animate them so I thought I'd edit them a bit to get them to work with Fallout 4 and maybe Skyrim. If someone could tell me how I can get my mods to work with the creation kit and the game I would very much appreciate it.

First of all, you have to convert your models to the .nif format if you haven't already.

Secondly, you have to make a material for all of the textures that you intend to use for each weapon so that the game knows where to find them.

Third, in the CK, or Geck as it is commonly referred to, you have to find the "Weapons" category on the list to the left, duplicate any weapon therein and go into the duplicate's options by double clicking on it.

Fourth, you want to click the Art and Sound tab and where it says Model you want to change that to your .nif that you've created. Also, since you're changing the weapon you'll want to change the weapon's info and damage and stuff like that as well.

Congratulations, you've just added a weapon to Fallout 4!

There are probably other steps that you need to take in there, steps that I don't know as so far I've been unsuccessful at actually adding anything to the game but this is a general starting point.
