Sanvean
Hello everyone, at first sorry for my poor english, it's not my native.I'm trying to make little mod for my friend - a photo album placed in Imperial Prison, at start of the game. I'm not pretty good at html, so I downloaded Tabula Book Generator by Braclo (can be found here - http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33486 ). Everything goes great, until I try add pictures to my book. Pictures are converted to .dds, so it should work. But it doesn't. When I start the game and open an album, pictures don't appear. I'm pretty sure everything is okay with html, especially that I'm using Tabula. I tried to use Bethseda pictures (birthsigns located in Data/Textures/Menus/Book), thinking that something is wrong with mine, but I'm experiencing the same problem. Just can't see any pictures in my book. http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/5839/oblivion201108310614565.jpg As you can see, fancy font at the beginning appears with no problem. This is html code created by Tabula - <IMG src="Book/fancy_font/u_66x62.dds" width=66 height=62>nder there should be a photo<BR> <P> <IMG src="C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Textures\Menus\Book\Umbacanosketch.dds" width=128 height=128><BR> Honestly, I've no idea what's wrong. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)
AlfredTetzlaff
Hi,change last line to:<IMG src="Book\Umbacanosketch.dds" width=128 height=128><BR>. Make sure to add the . to the last line of your code and remember that "path/picturename" is case sensitive. For more info have a look here and here.Hope this helpsAlfred
Sanvean
Thank you, Alfred, but I did it already and it didn't help. Nothing happens, the full stop appears instead, as if Oblivion doesn't see my pictures. http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/4929/haaaaaaalp.jpg What surprises me, is that initial at the beginning appears with no problem, even though it's .dds file too. Geez,I feel really helpless. Edited August 31, 2011 by Makabresku
AlfredTetzlaff
Hm, looks like you installed Oblivion to the default path in C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks...This can cause a lot of troubles modding-wise if running under Vista or Windows 7, maybe this causes your Problem too.Better reinstall to a diffrent Location like c:\games\oblivion. BBen wrote a nice guide on how to reinstall. Make a Backup of your work first :)
Sanvean
Thanks again! I'm a total noob - I placed full stop in wrong place, I spent almost all night working on it, smoking, swearing and feeling helpless and now it works. I feel like looser. But here comes another problem - picture appears cut, not resized. I'm reinstalling Oblivion to another location, but what else could I do? http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/5836/halpn.jpg Edited August 31, 2011 by Makabresku
AlfredTetzlaff
Nothing you can do about it with the consruction set. Pictures in books always will be cut, never resized. All you can do is editing your Pic with GIMP or any other Editing Software.
Sanvean
Ok. Kinda stupid question, but HOW should I edit pic to make it display properly? Sorry, I can't find any tutorial. Edited August 31, 2011 by Makabresku
Keirgarth
Open your picture in GIMP, or photoshop or what ever you have and change the image size to the size you want it in the book. Then save it.
