Cine_eater
Hi there all. I'm very new to modding and computers but I had a few ideas for mods, these are.... The Glaive from the movie Krull, if it could be thrown and track its prey. A Klingon Batleff (not sure how its spelt) from Star Trek. Random chests that attack you when opened, maybe even having some locked as well so you have to unlock them before they attack. A Terracotta army version of the mannequin mods out there ( tried contacting Reznod to no avail ) including various mannequins like soldiers, archers, generals and on horseback or Terracotta armour to go on Reznods excisting mod, but a selection of various mannequins would be cool. More Lovecraft styled mods would be cool. Some Evil Dead styled quests to get the Necronomicon would be cool, I noticed that theres a modders resourse for the Necronomicon but no-ones used it in anything yet. One last one how about a Midas spell that turns objects and people into gold, maybe the objects could be sellable as welll. Just some ideas to throw out there for you all and if anyones interested please keep me updated.Cheers all,Cine-eater.
Cine_eater
Also if any of these mods excist already could someone tell me where to find them. As for the Glaive there potential to do a whole collection as there a few out there, see this link.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaive Imagine a collection involving a mixture of Glaives, Shurikens, Chakrams (Xena) and Boomerangs. Also I've put this image up to give you some idea of the Krull version. LoginToDownload
It's interesting that you would mention a Midas spell, considering Midas Magic is actually a popular spell-mod, and it includes a spell that turns people to gold. Also, throwing weapons (some returning) can be found in the Throwing Stars mod. I really like the mimic (treasure chest) idea, though. I would give it a shot, but am completely hopeless with new meshes.

TheTerminator2004
I'm not sure how the mimic chest could work, although I do agree, it's a great idea. I think the best way would be to make a script which could be placed on a chest, that when activated, could replace the chest with a new creature- the mimic. The difficult bit would be making the new mimic creature... there are very few people with the necessary abilities to put new creatures in-game, and just making the creature in Blender, or MAX, or whatever, with all the animations, would be hard enough in itself. As for the Lovecraft-styled mods, what exactly would you propose went in them? Just 'Lovecraft style' is'nt really specific enough, I'm afraid. Cine_eater
Well with the Lovecraft styled stuff I was thinking of either a quest to obtain the Necronomicon which could contain some new dark spells, maybe mixing it up with Evil Dead and have a shack styled on the one in the film (and maybe the windmill and graveyard with the three books in it) with some Thing in the cellar to battle, it would be cool to have the doors take you to different parts of the shack, windmill randomly to create confusion... or Creating the coastal village Innsmouth using the same concept as the game Call of Cthulhu - DCOTE, having your character investigating the strange goings on and risking madness and death at the hands of the strange frog-like inhabitants and possibly meeting the Olde One Cthulhu, Innsmouth could be added to the island containing the portal to SI and could be a quest to complete so you can gain access to the portal.
