hideouscircus Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 I've gone through and changed the texture paths of all the nif files included with the mod so that the meshes use a custom texture I've found by tumbajamba, with a couple of my custom additions. I'm using this texture for my own mod, and so just pointed the texture paths to this folder. HOWEVER when I load the game and summon the vertibird it still appears the same. What am I doing wrong or missing? Shouldn't this be as straight forward as retexturing some armor or the vertibird ground model? Agnot2006 Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 In GECK You Open up the item for editing.Where the nif file path is displayed click editIt should show you the model and what textures its using. To create a new texture set go to Texture Set, its just above Water TypeRight click in any Box and click new, then in the new box that opens select the dds file you want to use.You can overwrite most textures this way to create new versions without touching the Nif File. I have solved all my texture woes save for one .............. the only time i see the vanilla textures now is when I first summon the vertibird with the radio. It must use a vanilla animation or encounter (not sure what the type would be called) for the initial landing. However once I hop in the textures change to my custom texture. I now know that retexturing this last bit of it should be straight forward, however, I have no idea what to look for in the Geck as far as that first animation when the vertibird lands. Does anyone know where in the GECK I'd be able to find this animation? Animated objects? World Objects? Items? :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
