Harvald
HI Kevin Most of the mods do what they should do. On Tesnexus you could look on the endorsements to find out, if they don't work, but very often they are not packed in the right way. Therefor first unpack the modsbundles and look at the structure. How to install Oblivion mods http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_install_Oblivion_modshttp://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_install_Oblivion_mods:simple_diagram For load order there is more than one opinion http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Load_order_recommendations is a working load order idea. For structuring your mods you should have a programm http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_post_a_load_order_for_Oblivion Mods come from all over the world. European Style or Asian Style and what Style ever. For suggesting mods I would need more information what kind of Game you and your friend do like. You could get anything, clothing and bodymods from Neorealistc to Manga. From Landscapes, Housemods, Ouestmods to general Overhaul. Animationmods for Asian or African fighting styles or Mods that make the game more realistic by bilding primal needs. There are also few sexmods but I personally don't like them very much. Or ar you more interested in takeing screenshots Tell a little more and we will suggest. My personal first site long before coming to tesnexus was http://www.proxima-ltd.de/oblivionmods/oblivionmods.htm http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23585 http://scrollstudio.com/forum/Thread-Slawter-s-Mod-List but it is just a very small beginning. but most of allhave fun Harvald Edited September 1, 2011 by Harvald
bben46
One of the biggest mistakes I have see with mod neophytes is thinking mods are all installed and work the same - they don't. Almost every mod is made by an amateur and not a professional. There is no 'standard' or 'right' way to package a mod - so some will install one way and others a different way. Be sure to read the read me for each mod you want to use before installing it - usually that will tell you if they use a different method. Most mods require the latest patch, and many require OBSE (Oblivion Script Extender) Don't make the mistake of installing a bunch of mods all at once. If you do, you will spend more time trying to figure out which one is causing the problem that it would have taken to install each one at a time and testing before adding the next. Not every mod is going to be compatable with every other mod - sometimes you must choose one or the other. Load order is NOT the list that is shown in the game data list. To see load order you MUST use a 3rd party utility program such as OBMM (Oblivion Mod manager) or BOSS. (Better Oblivion Sorting Software) Wrye Bash also shows load order, but is much more difficult for a neophyte to use. There is no suggested load order that will always work because making it would involve cross checking well over 23,000 mods and that's not going to happen. BOSS is the best we have for attempting to order mods. As for a list of preferred mods, check the top 100 list. those are the most popular and are going to be on most people's preferred list. JCP768
If you want some maturity without it being dreadfully overplayed, stupid, and ironically immature there are some adult type mods that retain a sense of class and realism: Integration: The Stranded Light (has a lot of maturity, and sensualism to it, as well as a brothel, a few sex obsessed Daedra, the best player romance of any game i've ever played, and a lot of artistic paintings which are occasionally skimpy or nude) Windfall (new location/quest mod with a mature story, realistic characters, a brothel andall that nice stuff) Gweden brothel (own your own brothel and recruit new girls) Claudias Little Secret (similar to the above, but with scripted sex scenes and a lot morestory and character to it) GENERIC:If you want the most help possible it helps to give as much information, and uniqueness as possible. Harvald
Hy Anna Now my first suggestions First you need OBMM and OBSE like bren says (I've quite forgotten this essential things, becase they are too normal)to install uninstall your mods in an easy way. additional fine is OBGE http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30054 For a better control panel http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10763and better map markers http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26389 now first new body As a Body mod I would prefer a HGEC body nude (female), http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34442 (male) http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28646 a good sekeleton for most of the clothing mods is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27945 and a nice skin texture http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20022 or http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19021perhaps with this http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22870 then you need a animation replacer http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35551 and now You have a fine person walking through Oblivion.
