Problem with Asus ENGTX 460 Top 1GB

Guys, i need help. but i dont really know where to ask for it, so i start here.

My problem is,my game crash after i load my saved game or whenever after the intro video (if i create a new game).

So i used this Nvidia d3d9 perf fix (http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34778) it helped and did solve the crash after intro video problem.

But while using this d3d9.dll, my game will still crash after a few minutes of playing. So i deleted the d3d9.dll files and update my graphic card with new driver from 3Dguru

The game will have no problem loading, no more crash after that, smooth game play,60fps.

The only problem is,when i restart my pc,the game will crash again after i load my saved game or after intro movie (create new game) :wallbash:

The problem will solved if i reinstall the graphic driver again. it seems either fallout new vegas or nvidia is reverting my game setting or .dll or whatever it is,im not sure of it. Does anyone have exactly the same problem as mine? or can anyone please help me with my problem. im using Asus ENGTX 460 Top 1GB graphic cards. thanks in advance :thumbsup:

ok, whats My opinion of this problem is a few things that may be in play here. #1 backup your games files and uninstall every thing, # two, Uninstall all graphic drivers, Source them to be Gone ! You need to have the raw windows setup display drivers in place before upgrading to new ones. secondly, I would not use the CD for the graphics card to replace default drivers, I would allow windows update to install what Microsoft has in it's data base found to be more reliable for that piece of equipment. Forget all the Hoopla here about this stuff, go with common sense. get the machine rockin before messing with the game issues, as it is , there is no way anyone can help you under the circumstantial you mentioned here. #3 down load the sdk DirectX version from them afterwards. get a registry cleaner, Uniblu 2 is the best I've seen so far, Get ccleaner to remove all the other junk that has piled up in the PC too. Microsoft security essentials is the best protection for these reasons, It's backed up by the biggest company in the world, you can't go wrong. defrag your hard drive and install the game in " C:\games" Fom and some other tools installer will find that already and keep things in line. Get the default game runnig clean with no hic ups and install and test your mods one a ta time. This way you will know beyond a doubt which mod is at falut. there is way too much more I can say in one breath but you get the point.

problem solved! so here what i did. i didn't uninstall the game. first, i use Uniblue RegistryBooster to clean up my registry, then i uninstall all the nvdia programs and driver and the system (windows 7) ask me to restart my pc. Before restarting my pc, again i use Uniblue to clean up my registry. After restarting my pc, windows update my driver by default. now, no more problem with crash after loading screen of starting new game (crash after intro video). Thanks a lot ccmechanic2 :thumbsup:

 

So ccmechanic2, now the only problem is crash upon exit the game. this is caused while using ur NV Game Stabilizer mod. it is not a big problem,because it will not affect my game play or me. but i wonder is it normal the game crash on exit when using ur mod, or is there any way to fix this?

Sorry to ask about this, but its abit unclear for me.

Should i remove the ILO completely (delete esp, bsa) or i should just uncheck ILO mods using FOMM?
