Colactic
Hi!How do you change your characters default idle pose? I got another one I want to use instead, I just don't know how to replace it.Thanks in advance!
fore
Depends what kind of idle/pose this is. In the the easiest case (the files ORIGINAL name is idle.kf) you simply put it into meshes\characters\_male. In all other cases you need to do some tweaking with NifSkope. But PLEASE not another seductive_idle transformation request. Idle.kf is for all characters, including orc guards.
Colactic
But! If its applied to an item, which is unique to the player. Then there isn't any issues? Right?
Keirgarth
If the idle anim is designed to replace the stock one, there should be directions on how to install it in the readme file. If there isn't, perhaps a note to the author of the mod asking how to install it?
fore
But! If its applied to an item, which is unique to the player. Then there isn't any issues? Right? No. Animations are not applied to an item (if you are thinking of this crystal ball, or whatever is used in pose mods). If anything, they are applied to characters. They can be played based on a condition (that's like the seductive idles, where one of the conditions is "issex female") Or, they can be played based on actions, like walk, atttack, stand around (idle.kf). But these animations apply to all characters, player, npc, male, female. Or, they can be assigned to a single character (which can be the player). BUT this doesn't work for some animations, including skill attacks and idle.kf.
Colactic
Well I was thinking that you change the animations for bows. Then equip an invisible one, then you get your wanted animation as long as its equiped. And that was what I wanted, so I did it and it works :)
