frakle
Ok, so I go to play Dragon Age Origins today, like normal. I click "CD:Drive Shortcut" and nothing happens. I assume that maybe I just need to start it up normally, so I start it from All Programs. The menu pops up. "Nothing to worry about", I say to myself. I click Play, and a slight pause. "Dragon Age Origins disc not detected. Please insert the disc and try again." Wait, what? I open up my drive with the little button, and it's there. I press it in, some sounds come out of my computer, and I get a little hourglass/pointer thing as my cursor. Then nothing. I start the game up again, and the exact thing happens. I repeat this process about 3 times before I finally realize this isn't going anywhere. I looked on the internet for help, and I really didn't know what my problem was, so I'm just going to post here. I haven't tried any other discs, so I don't know if it's my driver or my disc itself. Please help!
prandiningrat
this probably can be either problem with your DVD drive, or your game disc. try with another 'fine' cd disc or try to put game disc on different DVD drive..If you are on PC, check both power cable and data cable, that hooked to your dvd drive.. I only have 1 DVD drive. I tried putting in Icewind Dale II, and it says it cannot detect a CD Drive. Joy. Thank you for your help, though!
