ILikeMorrowind
So far I'm working on orcs, drows, and nymphs. I'm a newbie at making monsters, so please give me some easy ideas!! Idea of mine: easy to strong monsters seen at level one. This would add better realism so the player knows he can't hack and slash every critter he comes across. This mod is inspired by Morrowind Advanced from seeing a dragon at level 2. ~ me
KublaKarma
Sound interesting.. I think that leveled creatures are a good thing, 'cause let the player to play anytime and anywhere, but i also think that it's not always a good idea: if you think about it, there are some creatures that, realistically, need to be hard to fight everytime, for they are intrinsecally powerful!! This is so realistic... Perhaps you can place them in the most unaccessible places... hard to find, hard to fight!!
Smashy
owch....drow....nasty lil elves, you said your new to monsters...but if your not new to scripts you might want to add a nasty lil script that alows some drow to take you as a slave, seeing as drow are even nastier than the dunmer when it comes to slaves. Limorkil
There is actually a mod already out there that removes the level component from the random creature lists so that you can meet any creature at level 1. This means that you can meet high level critters on red mountain at any level, that tombs can contain high level undead and that daedric ruins are guarded by daedra. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the mod, but it is fairly easy to find. No new creatures though, unfortunately.
ILikeMorrowind
I'm the author of it. hehe. It's called Unleveled Creatures 2.0. On the first vesrion, I accidently made all of them on there, which caused some funky problems while in-game. 2.0 was able to balance it all out. Or I think it did. I never looked at the feedback. Limorkil
Some ideas below. I've never tried creating a creature so I do not know whether these ideas are practical or not. How about a Death Knight, which is basically an animated set of armor? Should be fairly easy to use armor pieces as body parts. You could also do it as a type of NPC and then add a script that removes all the armor pieces when it dies (since finding a full set of armor on each dead creature is a bit unbalanced.) What about a Skeletal Knight, which is just a skeleton wearing armor. Not sure if that is possible but it would look good. Take the Dreugh model and make a Dreugh Landwalker, which is basically a flying Dreugh mage using a "Air Breathing" spell much like we would use "Water Breathing". That should be easy. HUGE slaughtfish. That would be cool. Revenant! Take the Corpus Stalker model and make a really tough zombie-type creature. Give it a fairly powerful regenerate health CE ability. Attach a script that gives the Revenant a 50% chance of coming back to life at full health either when the player goes to examine the corpse or after 10 seconds. Make a ghost-like creature that is totally immune to all weapons: it can only be harmed with spells. Immunity to weapons might be possible by giving the ghost a very high agility (like 1000), or possibly a huge CE sanctuary ability. Alternatively, a script might achieve the same. A mage-type creature/NPC that teleports out of the way when the player gets too close. This can be achieved with a script that moves the NPC to a nearby location. You can ensure the location is 'safe', i.e. not in a wall or something, by storing the player character's coordinates and using them as the new location when the PC moves nearer. A similar effect can be created by having a creature/NOC that automatically flees when the PC gets too close, but then turns to fight when the PC is further away. Mess with the Flee rating in a script. An assassin-type creature/NPC that turns invisible when the player enters the room and then attacks with surprise. Use a script to cast invisible on the NPC when the player enters the cell/area.

Smashy
What about the whole absence of dragon based mods!!!! the only ones ive ever seen seriously bite!, I think the addition of one MASSIVE Red Dragon to red mountain would be great, but it need a hoard ofcourse!, if Red Dragons dont suit you, how about an ancieant Black Dragon to The Bitter Coast, or Broze, Green, or Brass dragon to the Ascadian Ilse or Grazelands, but what I think the two coolest sceans would be are..... say your walking deep with in the Bitter Coast region, just miles and miles of swamp all arround, its still the wee hours of the morning, say 1 or 2 am there is a HEAVY fog, as your trudgeing through thick swamp you hear a deep monotanous breathing that seems to get louder as you continue, untill you come upon the source, an utterly massive Black Dragon raises its head from the muck to meet your gaze, and begins to speak, or trys to eat you, which ever you prefer. and the second would involve you stumbleing through a blizard up in the inisifer plains region, and you stumble upon a white dragon, or a frost giant..... but what im gettin at is that even with the giants mods and other creature add-on mods there is still a massive lack of variety in the types of creatures you encounter, i can rattle off a myriad of types not included, Demons, Devils, Celestials, Fey, Fearie, Draconic and their kin, elementals, nearly all types of animals, etc. I know no mod or collection of mods could ever include even half of the fantasy creatures out there, and id never ask anyone to even consider makeing such a massive mod, but it would be nice it some one some time got around to makeing something that included a large variety of new creatures,(preferably rediculously powerful ones!) to encounter on your dareing and dethdefying adventures. END RANT! :ranting:
