dikr
Tonight I made my first attempt at properly modding a friendly npc, she's jailed by some bandits and in the same cell with them; I managed to solve all kinds of puzzles already, like fixing the faction part to have the bandits attack me but not the prisoner npc and making sure she stays in her jail until 'freed' (spoken to) and then wandering off out of her jail immediately. All went well and I had allot of fun getting things right until I wanted to use an existing voice over line for another quested greeting line. I made sure that the voice over line actually existed for the race and gender of my female Redguard npc. But somehow I can't seem to copy and paste the file locations and paths into my new quested greeting line. Is it possible to still do this somehow? The redguards have a great "You are my hero" kinda sound file associated with endgame requirements and I would love to have the npc say this to the player character once he/she sets her free but as soon as I create a new greeting with that line tes automatically generates non existing, seemingly unediteable filepaths for that greeting and worse: also with all other instances of the line on other npc's so I had to load a backup sadly. I lost myself a bit and the tutorial I found in elderscrolls.com doesn't really makes things clear to me either (though I've read about the tes bugs associated with new topics and how to avoid them). Would be a great help to get some tips from experienced modders on this issue, thanks for reading at least.<
