Eli255
I've been so dang frustrated for so long with this game not working mods for me. I'm pretty sure I've done everything right because occasionally they will start working again until I turn my of off. I've reinstalled fallout and nexus mod manager about 5 times now. Can someone please help me?
Ladez
Someone might be able to, but not unless you ask for help with a specific problem. If you want general advice on modding, there are plenty of tutorials out there that explain the process.

I heavily modded skyrim and don't recall having any problem like this.
Ladez
Downloads from Nexus Mods usually comes packaged in archives. You will need to extract them before placing them into the data folder. This can be done manually using a file archiving program (I recommend 7-Zip), or in a lot of cases by using one of the available mod managers. Ladez
Alright then. I'm guessing you've downloaded the mod using the download with manager button on the website? Did you activate it in the manager afterwards?

dubiousintent
While I'm sure you believe you have done everything correctly, manifestly that is not so. Perhaps you will have better luck determining where things have gone wrong by following a video? Gopher has an excellent series on NMM which starts with setting it up correctly beginning here. The process is basically the same regardless of the game. There is nothing unusual about using NMM with FNV. If that doesn't solve your problem, then you need to walk us through ALL the steps you have taken to setup NMM and install mods, to include drive letters and directory names. Assume nothing is "obvious" and lay out every detail, as if you were explaining it over the phone to your grandmother with her first computer and game. It's most likely an unspoken assumption that is tripping you up. -Dubious- Edited May 25, 2016 by dubiousintent
