Character Creator ingame no eyes/hairs

Running Ling's atm, but no eyes or hairs show up in character creator. Everything else seems to be working - even tried putting some of the Ling's hairs/eyes on NPC and worked fine so meshes & textures are in the right place, it's just that they don't show in the creator, not even the default eyes/hairs.

Is anybody familiar with the issue with Ling's or with some other cosmetic mod? Is there a character gen file that I could edit manually and fill them in like 'chargenmorph' in Dragon Age? Any other solutions?

Thanks

You can only use one eyes/hair/race mod at a time. This is because there is only one entry for the 4 seperate player character races. Lings changes these vanilla races, and then later in the load order another mod is changing the same races. This overrides any information inside lings races and vanilla races with, whatever that mod did. You can get a visual on this issue by loading the whole load order with FNV/FO3 edit (TES edit) *burp* Then you would just navigate to the race entries in FalloutNV.esm or lings. This will display all entires from left to right of the whole load order with the one to the far right being the final or winner (the one being used)

You can Merge Patch the load order, which will somewhat form a single race at least partially automaticly, you would still need to check it an need to know what you are looking at to do so. Also you could create an override .esp which uses Lings as a master, allowing any data in Lings to be used, then a override, copy of the entry is placed in this override .esp to over ride the last entry, then later you can make the other mod a master too, an merge the content into one entry inside this. Though you could also just pick one of the two mods an use that one instead.

FalloutNV.esm

Lings.esm

OtherMod.esp

Override-Race.esp

Think of it like a list. FalloutNV.esm has 1 2 3 4 listed in the race entries. Lings.esm has 1 2 3 4, an 5 6 7 8 listed in the race entires. OtherMod.esp has 1 2 3 4 9 10 listed in the race entries. Lings.esm is ignored because the entry was replaced with a entry which has zero Lings data inside it, only 1 2 3 4 9 10. Override-Race.esp would use FalloutNV.esm, Lings.esm, and OtherMod.esp as masters (thus allowing any content inside to be used) Because of that you could make a final entry for the race which contains the data added by the two seperate mods, be it a merge patch or manually created override. Though the trend now days is to seperate custom player character races rather than wasting time with the Vanila races.
