CyborgRox
I've had this issue ever since I got the game. A ton of textures simply don't want to render completely, making them look low-res and blurry.I don't know what the cause of this is, but it might be due to my limited graphics settings. Here are some screenshots of the texture issues: http://i.imgur.com/E2S7don.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/1EfFnLY.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/QrhLv5d.png Here are the settings I'm using: Resolution: 1600x900 (on a 1920x1080 screen)Antialiasing: OffAnisotropic Filtering: Off Texture Quality: UltraShadow Quality: MediumDecal Quality: MediumLight Quality: MediumGodrays Quality: LowDepth of Field: StandardAmbient Occlusion: OffWeapon Debris: Off Screen Space Reflections: OnWetness: OnRain Occlusion: OnMotion Blur: OffLens Flare: On Object Fade: 50%Actor Fade: 50%Grass Fade: 35%Item Fade: 50% Distant Object Detail: HighObject Detail Fade: High On these settings, my computer is able to run the game at around 40 FPS, but it can drop to as low as 10 in specific locations. This is just my assumption though, I don't use an FPS tracker. xXBrytonXx
This is mostly just a fallout 4 issue in general. fallout 4 is pretty bad at texture clean up. you could always try enboost with no enb preset. that helped my game deal with most of the texture issues. Uh... enboost?I was thinking maybe setting my Texture Quality to High or Medium would help, since Ultra could be 'overloading' the game.

I also am finding the textures in my game are popping in and out of Medium quality down to Lowest quality randomly, but most of the time they are getting stuck on Lowest quality. It looks absolutely horrible. I'm loving Far Harbor but whatever they've done to compress the textures and retrieve them 'on the fly' is working so badly in my game right now. I've seen textures go from Lowest, and then when I died, go to High, then seconds later go down to Lowest, for no damn reason. No I don't use enb - my PC wouldn't be able to cope. ddavies10693
What kind of gpu are you using? do you use retexture mods? is your game modded? Issues this serious usually don't occur in a vanilla, unmodded game unless something is seriously wrong, or it isn't installed correctly. Granted there's always a possibility it could an issue with the default game, but that's an exception, not the norm.

Were you addressing the OP, or myself, ddavies :) I don't mean to derail the OP's request for help, but to quickly answer on my own behalf, I'm running zero texture replacers, and only a fairly mundane mod list, nothing that should cause this type of issue I think, and my graphics now look EXACTLY like the photos CyborgRox shared. My Specs are nothing fancy, but this issue is totally new in my several hundred hours of play: http://i.imgur.com/oLh32f1.jpg

I'm only using a few small retexture mods for the Gasmask, Pipboy and X-01 power armor Hotrod paint, and I've had this issue long before any of those mods. One mod I got fairly early though, was a mod for the Dialogue Interface to make the text like the exact dialogue. Here's my GPU:http://i.imgur.com/psm5nBf.png There is one more thing. I used some sort of graphics optimizing program/website to more accurately adjusting the graphics to my PC's performance, but I can't recall what it was, as it's some time ago now. ddavies10693
That third party software may be the culprit unfortunately, there's no way to know what they're doing to your computer or your game, or if it is even updated at all. Nvidia, the company that made the GPU you use, have their own version of exactly what you described that you can download for free. It's called Nvidia Geforce Experience. This will keep all drivers up to date, and can optimize a large number of games based on your computer. It may already be on your computer in fact. My recommendation is to download that program and use it, update all GPU drivers, and go from there. Just for control purposes, try uninstalling any and all mods after doing that as well. ddavies10693
If you run GeForce again, does it give you any alerts? like an outdated driver or anything? There should be a green check next to Fallout 4 on the list
