Tulsa299 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Last night I built an Infra-red head-tracking device, if you're a tinkerer I highly recommend it, it was much fun.I built it for use in Arma 3 (it works fantastically) and I'm curious to see if it could be worked into a Bethesda title, Fallout/Skyrim... Have any of you guys played around with this kind of thing and if so what games can you recommend?
SierraAR Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I'm not 100% sure if it would work as well in a Bethesda game as it does in ArmA 3. ArmA already has a system built in to let you run in a specific direction while your 'head' turns to look in another direction different from where your body is pointing, if that makes sense. Bethesda games don't have that; A mod for that could probably be made though.
Tulsa299 Posted May 26, 2016 Author Posted May 26, 2016 Doubtful that it would work well but the modders here are a force to be reckoned with... More games need this, it adds so much.
obobski Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Quick web search yielded this:https://forums.oculus.com/community/discussion/1891/skyrim-rift-headtracking-mod-works-with-controller No idea if that could plug-in to your homemade solution, but its an interesting read at least.
