Brandonrs45
Dear reader, This is a post for all those modders out there. I am not the best with creating mods, but I know how to. I do not know how to script at all. I don't have enough time to sit down and create my mod ideas. I have quite a few good modding ideas, but I'd rather have someone else do it. NOTE: You will not get paid, but you will get most of the credit. I cannot except more than two modders at a time. My mods shouldn't be much of a challenge for good modders. I have three mod ideas I can think of now, but I may have written others down before. If you are interested, please E-Mail me HERE. I may later have plenty more mods in the near future. E-Mail me for full details about different mods I have thought of.

TheTerminator2004
http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=26095 This thread is pinned for a reason. Read it, especially points 1, 2, 3 and 5. If we decide we're going to make a mod, it's either going to be HELPING someone else (not doing everything for them), or something of our own. Just saying 'I want a mod, you go and make it for me.' is not going to get you the help you need. If you show that you know exactly what you want, you've made some progress making it already, you know what you need people to do, and you aren't just going to sit around not doing anything, then people might be willing to help you. I didn't put it quite as well as Peregrine would have, but he's not around, and somebody had to say it. Make sure you listen.

I wasn't asking for someone to just blindly make me a mod. I asked for volunteers that could possibly help me make a mod I have thought over. I don't know why you go out of your way to make me look bad, when all I am doing is recruiting.

And he is right. Offering an idea isn't much help. You have to actually participate in some way. Plus you didn't say ANYTHING bout the ideas you have. Understandable you don't wanna type em all out or perhaps you want to keep the idea between you and the recruits. But in that case you shouldn't bother posting. You need to say "This is my idea. Here's what i will do. Here's what I need some other people doing IF WILLING" We aren't trying to make you look bad just saying it how it is. Brandonrs45
Tecknosis said: Can we have a Basic Outline of the Things You Want. Yes, they aren't the most complicated mods, but here is one: "Sword fo the Nine Divines" , the name may have already been thought of, but it'll have to do. There is a new topic in the Imperial City, about this mod. Once you hear it, you learn of the new 'Crash Site' location. A massive and strange stone (an obelisk from the shivering isles) has crashed into Tamriel. Once you aproach it, you notice that a mining camp attempting to mine the stone for gold or any other materials is abandoned. So, most adventurers would want to venture in. Once you get in, you find a cave that has 'Strange Beings' inside (the cave is small and the beings are order priests). You venture your way throught with not too much of obstcles, untill you find a 'Strange Door' (an Ayleid Ruin door) and you must kill a nearby guardian of the door to get a key. Once you enter the stone, the entire room looks like something from the order realm. There is a friendly order priest, that is guarding the 'Sword of the Nine Divines'. You can't grab the sword (script prevents you) and when you do, the order priests starts a conversation with you. he says, "I wouldn't touch that if I were you. You aren't the person the gods trust with this sword." your quest journal will be updated and then the priest will say "Unless you can do some tests." with a smirk on his face (which you can't see). You must then travel through a nearby portal where you will enter your first test. You must fight a few monsters that are a higher level than you. Then, when they are dead, you will automatically be teleported to the next test. In this test, you will have to journey through an invisable maze (collision box walls) untill you get to the end. The only obatsacle (kill boxes) will kill you if you get to a dead end. At the start, there will be a map of the whole maze, but a few smudges on it that will make it harder. Once you get to the end there will be a door to the next test. The next test, you will enter a very poorly lit world, where there is a path that twists and turns till you get to the end. Only curtain spots of this maze are lit, and there are many traps along the way that seem to come from nowhere. Once you get to the end, you enter the door and go back to the obelisk room with the sword. Once there, the portal to the first test has disappeared and the priest wishes to speak with you. He says, "Good job, unfortunately there is one more task. You have to kill ME!" and then you engage in combat against a very strong foe (he levels up as you do). When you kill him, you may take the sword. It is very strong and has a good enchantment. -END- If you have any further questions, or want to learn about anymore of my ideas, pelase E-Mail me HERE. See? Now that helped A LOT. Well a lot of this seems do able. (i'm not saying i will be taking this up. In the middle of my own project atm. Just giving my opinion.) A nice concept. But bout the name, it really would need something different considering Knights of the Nine sword. A lot of similarity. My suggestion regarding that would be, have it so that the sword was wielded by a long dead warrior. Makes more sense and allows more uniqueness and creativity. Some of the content may need to be unvoiced such as the rumors. The Sword Guardian could be voiced by some one (your self or an interested friend). If you wish the rumors to be voiced as well, I would say add a new character to the game, with his own unique voice, who has come from the recently abandoned mine. He will tell you about it, give you a key to the mine and the quest begins. Just some ideas, even though you don't intend to do it yourself, figured i would share my thoughts. wayne0188
can you make a mod that makes the default clothing and armor somewhat tastefuly more low-cut than this mod http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12234 please make it (if you wish to) Exnem's eyecandy compatible, and include KotN and SI... I would VERY GREATLY appreciate this mod and if made and posted please send me a link on this forum (wayne0188). Thank you very very much in advance... Note: I could make this myself, but I don't have the programs or experience (so it would turn out terrible)...

You coud easily get training for modding (it isnt very hard at all) except for scripting. Unless you can get a full list of possible Oblivion script commands, scripting is quite hard. I could even possibly help you with some mod training. The Wikipedia for the construction set is usefull.
