BlueShiftSolo
As of 8:53 PM EST, Oct 16 2007, Solostaran is no more. My house-of-cards came crashing down when I removed a (old, malfunctioning) mod on which one of Solostaran's (my character, in case you haven't guessed yet) items depended. When I attempted to load Save 1505, my processor balked at the prospect of accounting for a missing item, leading to an endless cycle of lock-ups. All of my saved games past the Sewer are now unusable. Goodbye, Solostaran, and may your soul rest in peace. Note: I placed this in the Technical Support section due to the fact that this situation was caused by a bug, not because I expect to get any help. Solostaran is dead; now it's time to move on. ninja_lord666
What item was it? Maybe you could temporarily reinstall that mod, get rid of the item, and then uninstall it. If it's only a weapon, or armour, just sell it/leave it somewhere and rest for three days (to reset the merchant inventory/cell/container). Then, the item will be no more, and the character will no longer depend on the item. You could also just use a console command to remove the item from your inventory and thereby remove any dependency on said item.
BlueShiftSolo
I tried pretty much everything, bud. The 1505th save also was the first to pass 5mb, which may have also contributed to the meltdown. Think Y2K. (which means I actually had 5gb of saves and not 20, that was a bit of an exaggeration)
CoolCat6
I heard some cult called the Mythic Dawn was behind Solostaran's assassination.
masterchief1517
Well, you could try exporting the face of the character, then apply it to another character you create, then you can use the console to get your skills and levels back to where they were. From there you probably can use more console commands to set all of the quests to there current completion status.
BlueShiftSolo
No, thanks. It's time for a fresh start. Semi-fresh, at least.
masterchief1517
Ok, sounds fair enough (wait, what was there for me to lose in the first place? :P ). If there is any advice to be had, it's that you don't let let your character go on for that many saves, lol. Ehrm... Good luck on your new campain of evil?
