elfsrealm87
Im new to the game oblivion, Ive only played it since last month. I have a problem with the OBMM installation. Each time I try to install it, I keep getting the same message.... Error, "oblivion mod manager must be installed to oblivion base directory,if you have moved or renamed oblivion_ini please replace. I have'nt touched the file. I was hoping that someone in the forum might be able to solve my problem.'

What? I think he probably checked whether he had Oblivion installed before he tried to install OBMM, and reinstalling windows would have course, delete it all. You could always try going to start -> run, typing 'regedit', and then going to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Bethesda Softworks -> Oblivion, and on the right check to see if 'installed path' is the same as the path you actually installed the game to, but if you can play the game, then this probably isn't the problem. Reinstalling the game would probably fix the problem, but you probably want to avoid having to do that... Did you install Oblivion to the default path (C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion), or did you install it somewhere else? If so, that might well be the cause of the problem.
