Neurologix
Hello, Oblivion stutters or lags for 0.2-0.3 seconds when arrows hit anything beside NPCs / PC (me). Right before the animation of "dust" around the arrow shows up, if you shoot a cave wall, for example. Really, I stress, really annoying. I believe a cause of this was a change in the ini file. I changed: ipreemptivesizelimit (spelling?) to 10x the value, just added a zero, which would utilize 250mb for textures instead of 25mb, also changed the ugridstoload from 5 to 7 and cellbuffer to 9 and 108 for indoor and outdoor, respectively. Fired up my save game ; got arrow lag ; I quit the game ; erased the .ini file ; started Oblivion, which as you know makes a new .ini file ; got the same arrow lag. What the vulk. I just started playing Oblivion again after I got my system put together. Running: E6600 @ 3.6Ghz8800GTX @ 656/2000P5N32-E SLI Plus2GB Mushkin DDR2-1000550W Mushkin PSU (quality)320GB Seagate 16MB NCQ24" @ 1920x1200 and 19" @ 1280x1024, LCDs Pretty sure it's not hardware related, as I tried on both resolutions. Same stutter. I tried both monitors to make sure its not monitor's refresh rate or anything. If anyone wants a video I can capture. But think of my problem as a stutter, a stutter when arrows hit something. Anyone have any ideas to cause or solution? Forever greatful! P.S. Is it me or is Oblivion runs choppy @ 1920x1200 with a single GTX?
