hair growing and cutting (Hairdressing)

i made this post in general mod talk about a month ago but it got no intrest so i decided to post it here.

 

basically i wanted to make it so hair can grow and be cut at a hairdressers or barbers, this would mean you could change your hair without having to start a new game or entering console commands. i just dont have a single clue on to how to do this so any help would be appreciated.

P.S. how do you make armour and weapons really shiny like glass and LPOTD. ive tried adding glow and certain normal maps but cant get them to shine like glass. any help.

Any sort of a hair mod like this just wouldn't work very well. The standard types of hair are not recorded like equipment, so cannot be adjusted or replaced through scripting. You could technically just use worn items in the hair slot to be worn over existing hair, and then have a script adjust what is beng worn. The problem with that though is that you're having to make dozens of different hair styles of various lengths (and possibly colors) and having to use alot of scripting to control it all. It really just makes more sense to use the "showracemenu" cheat, making changes, then reverting to an earlier save without confirming the changes or closing that menu.
