natelovesyou
80 spells isn't really that much. It's not like you'll be able to master them all. You'll have to make choices on what you'll use. Uhh, you *will* be able to master them all. You can have 100 points in every skill eventually and there's no limit on the number of spells you can know.Source?I can attest to the fact that you can max all of your skills too for a certainty, but out of the dozens of videos and articles I don't know what's what. You're not capped on maxing your skills, you're only capped on getting all of the perks.
Alcrin
Source? You can get all of your skills up to 100 for a certainty, and while I don't have a source absolutely confirming there's no limit on the number of spells you can learn (other than the total number of spells in the game since there's no custom spells), that's how it worked in every other TES game and I haven't seen the slightest hint that they've changed it. If there was a limit then we'd probably see it in the menus somewhere, and we haven't.
SHIROryuu
So the only limiting factor is discovering all of the spells, grinding through the crap ones to perfection? lol I doubt I'll level each to 100. No matter how much of an OCD moment I go through.

That would be cool...and if it isn't present, maybe a mod!

Like Flamethrower starts of low level, low damage and you level it by using it. So the spell itself cost more as it turns to adept or master. You probably have perks so you can reduce the cost within the school of destruction.
Alcrin
Huh? You don't level up individual spells. Where'd you get that idea from?

Where'd you get that idea from? How come I've seen Novice flame thrower and adept flamethrower? You have to get a different spell? was that on the same character or two different sources?on demos/vis in the past, they switch to different loads also at times without showing the load screen, it gets cut out. I wouldnt be surprised if that was done either. Also, I am fairly certain I read that spells increase damage according to destruction skill. Without the spellmaker, it wouldnt be very nice otherwise. EDIT: BTW, it was said that you can't combine a flamethrower spell another different spell, only two of the same spell.but can I still USE them both at the same time, if I can't combine them.A stream of frost thrower in one hand and a stream of fire thrower in the other both at once :) :) :) Edited September 18, 2011 by El`derina

I can't remember where. I could very well be mistaking, and I'm certainly not afraid to admit it. I'm just sure I saw it. I think once you have a spell you can use it in either hand or both. Giving you the ability to combine that spell for more damage during attacks. If I'm wrong about spell leveling, I'm super bummed.
