The Fighter's Stronghold and other DLCS

the problem im having is in add/remove programs all of the dlcs are showing up as large files

Oblivion is 4,685 mb

The Construction Set is 5,658 mb

Horse Armor Pack is 4,661 mb

Knights of the Nine is 4,661 mb

Mehrunes Razor is 4,661 mb

Orrery is 4,661 mb

Spell Tomes is 4,661 mb

The Fighter's Stronghold is 5,747 mb

Thieves Den is 4,661 mb

Vile Lair is 4,661 mb

Wizard's Tower is 4,661 mb

For me, Oblivion - The Fighter's Stronghold shows up at 6,120.00 MB

Oblivion\Data is 5.97 GB (6,418,242,921 bytes)

Oblivion, Oblivion - BTMod 2.20, and Oblivion Mod Manager 0.8.10 show up at 9,823.00 MB

\Oblivion is 9.79 GB (10,521,808,215 bytes)

 

Coincidence? I think not.

Oddly, my CS shows up ~800 MB less than Oblivion.

Conclusion? Add/Remove is somewhat broken, or Beth got a bit lazy when doing the installer.

I believe that the add/remove programs tool determines the size of a program by looking at the folder that contains all of the files, so all of those mods should be in the data folder of your oblivion directory, thus them all (nearly all) showing up as the same size [4,661 MB]. Does that make sense to you? Just use the original installers (just double click it, it will then prompt you to uninstall) to uninstall the oblivion plug-ins you don't want, this will assure that no other files will be deleted.
