jahnarae
In fallout, there are some modern airplanes like the V-22 Osprey or the ingame version : the Vertibird, but a lot of the planes are still WWII era. If they were in the year 2077 and had nuclear cars and laser/plasma weapons, why can't they have SR-71 Blackbirds or U-2 DragonLadys or Global Hawks. Can someone make some more modern aircrafts. That would be cool. Static items for putting into airports/museums is what i mean.
MojaveMike
Because it's the alternate timeline that makes it like that. If you're referring to the Boomers Bomber, it's because it crashed in 1949.
TrooperScooperMKII
Well, a Vertibird would imply a basic helicopter design; Sikorsky's model R-4 actually served in WWII.Jet fighters + stealth technology = stealth bomber.Supercomputer + fission-battery + small plane = UAVBlimp + supercomputer + solar cells (flexible?) = Spy UAV blimp?F-UAV + lasers = Predator Drone. So yes, there could be "modern" aircraft in Fallout, just different twists/evolutions of them.
