falloutsurvivor
OK so I've installed oblivion and played it without mods and the vanilla works fine, but when i try to install deadly reflex 6 and now oblivion is not responding as in, when i go to start a new game, it does nothing, acts as if i never touched anything. So then i go to tesnexus to download a save file and start from there, i click on the save and it goes to the loading screen, then it doesnt load. Oh should i be patient? well not really cuz i left it on for a day and the load bar has not moved an inch.I'm pretty sure I have everything installed correctly to make deadly reflex work. So below I will post my modloader or and see if anyone can help. HorseCombatMaster.esmOblivion.esmKnights.espDLCShiveringIsles.espDroplittorchOBSE.espSP1stPLegs.espDeadlyReflex6 - Timed Block and 250% Damage.espMounted_Spellcasting_Deadly_Reflex_Compatible.espDeadlyReflex 6 - Combat Moves.esp Plus I have the nifse version that is compatible with DR6 and obse 20, the latest version and i use that to start oblivion, not the default launcher
JDGameArt
Have you tried loading Oblivion.esm 1st?
RavveN
Try disabling "one by one" mod fix. Meaning of that is that you disable one mod enter game see if it makes any difference if it does just don't use that mod anymore, if not then enable that mod again and disable another one... That way you will see if mod is a problem or there is a technical problem. I think there is some problem with your Deadly Reflexes i had problem with that too so i would go by disabling all deadly reflex esm,esp files (ofc one by one) Hope this helps! -RavveN-
falloutsurvivor
ok so i did what angilla said and it got to the loading screen, and it actually starts to load, but it only loads to around half the bar and then oblivion closes, i dont even get a crash report
JDGameArt
Yeah you can try and disable mods one-by-one. If that doesn't work, some mods modify the user.ini file. Remove the .ini file form the MyGames/Oblivion folder, and let Oblivion make a new one by reloading the game. Just be sure and have no mods activated the first time around. falloutsurvivor
ok so i tried both deleting the ini and turned off all mods, but now it loads to a full bar and still closes without report
bben46
Oblivion.esm must be the first mod in the load order - MUST! No exceptions - as that is what is being modified by mods that load later. Putting any mod before Oblivion.exe almost guarantees an instant crash. Then you picked what is one of the most difficult mods to start with. Experienced mod users have problems with Deadly Reflex. Read the DR mod thread for examples of the kind of problems people have and hints on how to get it to work. Just unchecking the mods in the list does not remove anything except the esp file. It leaves any mesh, texture and any other files that can cause problems. Here is how to get back to a true vanilla (unmodified) game.
