kingdark
It occurred to me that nobles, more specifically the ones in castles don't have any money. I mean, I checked the castle and their room looking for some loot or even a treasure of some sort but either I completely overlooked it or it just isn't there. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of things to steal for loot and such. But I'm talking about gold only. I figure that they should at least have fifty to a hundred gold on their person alone. Then at least twice that much in their living room / bedroom. Finally there should be a locked room meant for the treasury based on the population with gold taxes. I don't know if it possible, but perhaps this gold can slowly increase. Say a random amount for every day that passes. Of course the random amounts should be bigger for a big city compared to the smaller ones. The last thing that sort of annoyed me is that the stuff that's looked behind those looking glasses isn't -that- valuable. I mean shouldn't that stuff earn a lot of gold if it's locked behind a looking glass? For that matter, shouldn't the clothes and well everything that a nobles has be worth more gold? I'm curious if anyone else thought of this or if this in particular has been addressed in any of the mods that exist already. Kingdark Edit:Now that I come to think of it, the same is true for shops and other stores too. I think. I tried to pickpocket a shop owner and he only had a bit change on him.Thoughts? micalov
Its the economy, they probably sold it because did you know your castle could have up to £300 of unwanted gold and our smelting plants are local so you get a bigger cut! ..but seriously yep they always seems poor item wise for what they were supposed to have, even in the inventories ect. kingdark
Is it easy to change this? I mean I can't imagine that this would take THAT much work. I still don't know how to do it myself, but I'm sure that for experienced modders it wouldn't take but a few hours... If it's that much
ffa1mf
I recommend you look at the mod Vaults of Cyrodiil (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9357) as this mod does address the idea that Counts and Countesses and members of nobility tend to have a bit more wealth and loot than the average citizen. It also adds to various merchants as they would also likely hold a bit more wealth and loot as it were than the average citizen. There is a few other mods that add wealth and loot, such as Cheydinhal for Thieves (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32484) as Cheydinhal has a slightly higher class of society than say Bravil, so the mod adds a bit more to or raises the value of the items owned by NPCs in Cheydinhal. Hope these help and have fun!
