I'm a big role playing person and i really want a book or a journal or even just paper that I can record my findings and, what not, in. Id make it myself but I can't make mods with script and stuff, only construction mods.

Please if your already in progress of making this, INFORM ME, and Ill stop asking.

Thanks :)

lol funny post but yeah seriously this mod would take up soo much effort for such a pointless cause. I mean roleplaying can be okay but going to that level of roleplaying is seriously one of the nerdyest things one could do. stop trying to make this happen because its lame and get laid lol.

fine, your right sounds kinda nerdy, now that i think of it. Ill give up on that...

It's for the better really since such a mod can't really be done. Scripts cannot store strings or display variables as letters. As far as books go, these can only be written in the CS, and cannot have their contents changed in any way via scripting. Which means that anything you can record would have to be broken down into numerical form, and then translated back into letters when tou tried to retrieve that note. This process would be infinitely more complicated than just having a piece of paper on hand to scratch things down, or even learning to use that limp of meat in your skull to remember where things are. There just simply isn't any support for what you want to do.

Perhaps it could be done in the same way the morrowind version did it. They had Journal Enhanced and Writing Enhanced, both acted the same way, allowing you to write and erase your own entries in a book. Don't know if it works for OB though.

haha gold!

I do miss the old morrowind journal, that was awesome. The player could only take notes as well as the info was as it was given to him. None of that "find this invisible guy, he is some where in Tamriel. But here is a live marker to show you exactly where he is"

Morrowing had it down, "if you haven't found him, try harder you lazy *censored* (or look it up on the web if you are desperate)"
