marharth Posted September 21, 2011 Share Posted September 21, 2011 One thing I greatly fear in skyrim is the AI not being updated from fallout or oblivion. Is there any news on the AI of NPCs? jedimembrain Posted September 21, 2011 Share Posted September 21, 2011 I remember todd saying early on that some NPCs you can't talk to and they will just say "hello" and keep walking.. so it sounds like its taking the fallout route as far as most of the conversational AI goes instead of Oblivion's where every NPC had something to say .. idk if there will be "megaton settler number five" in the world or if they ill at least have unique names .. as far as environment awarness and navigation .. I have no clue .. its not looking any better thats for sure .. but I was fine with that anyways .. its not as bad as Morrowinds AI at least Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If I shoot down someone with someone standing near them, will they go for cover or try to search around? If I pick up a fork, will there be a different reaction then getting mobbed to death by everyone in the room? Will guards be psychic? If I smash my sword against a building a bunch, will anyone react? What if I shoot fireballs in the air for no reason? If I sneak around will anyone react? Todd has already explained how it depends on how much they like you.4:Psychic sorta ..
