Werne
Well, I was just changing some annoying stuff in Megaton and Rivet City and after that I wanted to navmesh the places I edited and I noticed that some triangles have different colors. There are green triangles in front of the doors that lead to another cell, there are blue ones in the water, the red ones all over the place and some orange ones. So I would like to know why are they colored differenty? What's the difference between them? Which one is used for what? Also those edges are confusing me as well. There is a yellow line (when an NPC comes to that line he suddenly starts acting like he lost his brain somewhere and he goes to find it (meaning he starts running around like crazy)). I think it's the border and NPC's cant walk past that line. Red ones mean that two triangles are connected to eachother. The blue one marks the spot where NPC's take cover during combat. But what are the black ones? I still didn't figure that out.
McclaudEagle
Red triangles - Makes the path itself, which is used by NPCs to navigate the area. Green triangle - Shows the cell is navmeshed with the door, the NPCs will often spawn there when they enter. Yellow edges - Is basically the edge of the path, meaning NPCs won't go past it. Thick green lines - This is where two cell navmeshes connect with each other. Pressing the B key will show that beneath them are the cell boundaries. Not sure about black ones.
