Septim741
Alright, here you go buddy. Here's the textures you wanted converted. Same as last time. Enjoy, and good luck! :)

If this has anything to do about the models and textures, too bad. The models are copyright, so? What's your point? You're saying that if I release this, I get a lawsuit? Let me put it bluntly. I will not get one as long as I don't do anything to hurt the companies. If the models are not your intent, I apologize for my aggressiveness, but can you please explain to me what you mean by assets if this has nothing to do with the models? Septim741
Look, open the file in GIMP, click save ass, and then just type in .dds as the extension. It doesn't get any easier!

TheTerminator2004
Well, I hate to bring this up again, but the textures are copyright. So, it is breaking several different laws even to simply upload them to the internet, let alone use them in your own work! You can get a massive jail sentence for doing this, you know, and believe me, with a mod this size, Nintendo will find out about it, and they will deal with it appropriately. And you are hurting Nintendo in the same way MEMod was hurting the Tolkien Estate- people might decide to download this instead of buying the actual game, and no matter how unlikely a scenario that is, no company would be stupid enough to take a risk like that, and that includes Nintendo. Furthermore, no sites like TESNexus or PES will host your mod, because by doing so they could be accused of being a party to this breach of copyright, and if they found out about it, they may well even go so far as to report you to Nintendo themselves. I'm sorry for the flamey post, but your idea of using Nintendo's own textures- which is, in fact stealing the textures their staff worked so hard to make, and using them for your own gain- is stupid, illegal, and will stop most people from downloading your mod, assuming you find some unscrupulous web host to host it for you. I know I won't be downloading it, anyway.

Lord Slyther
Was all that texture conversion for nothing!?! :verymad: ThAt's It! Fine then. I won't use the textures, and make the same model. I'll just make new ones myself. If you're telling me using the exact same textures is breaking the law, then that does it. Although, TT. I see that your post is a bit excessive, but you all of a sudden tell me this bull crap. Look, I'm trying to make this friggin mod for the Zelda fans, and telling me this is illegal! I know the friggin textures are copyright, but if this is the sole purpose, then I'm keeping the duplicated models myself. Right now, I'm very angered. Not at you, but at Nintendo, and the copyright laws. I'm not throwing the duplicated models on this project when it's released. But right now, I'm quite responding aggressively. I apologize for the aggression, but I've just had enough of the copyright bullsh*t. Not trying to start a flame war here, but I'm just,,,, well you get the point, right? You want Zelda on your Oblivion, then give me some time to re-make the models myself but NOT EXACT, or you can forget it! My point obviously is that somebody made this model pack, and I figured HE remade them himself, crediting Nintendo. I'm still not getting any reply from NOA, but I'm thinking they're officially tagged hypocrites saying you can make a Zelda mod, and then boom, backstabs you by getting the cops at the door. It just kills me to see somebody get prosecuted. KEEP ME POSTED ON WHAT'S LEGAL AND NOT ILLEGAL. You can't just simply let me get away with stuff I didn't know. Tell me first BEFORE I start adding stuff. I'm not talking about this project, which is copyright anyway, but I mean the REAL serious add-ons that Nintendo would likely to be offended. Please, Terminator. I'm asking you not to blow this out of proportion. You gotta be a legal eagle at times when I add this, and I'm just fed up with running back and forth all the time. I'm not scared of the law anymore. I'm just growing sick and tired of the law, but we all must obey it. I want to play the mod too, but I don't want any heat on me nor anyone on this site. Right now, I feel like I wish I could drop a huge nuke on every Nintendo warehouses and blow the f**k outta them, but I'm not even at the stage where I start going Anti-Nintendo. Besides, I don't have weapons. I'm just a pointless idiot. Don't get me wrong. I'm not mad at you. Sep, you're good also. You didn't do nothing wrong. TheTerminator2004
I know it's annoying, and I feel almost the same way, but basically, Nintendo owns everything used in the actual game - models, textures, sounds, you name it, the only thing I'm not sure of is the names, etc (If you have a lawyer, you could consider asking them, they should be able to tell you which bits are covered by the copyright) - and using any of that stuff is stealing. and Nintendo will file a lawsuit against you for it because there is a tiny chance that some people might see it, and decide to download it instead of buying the game. I know you don't see it that way, nor do I, or most other people here for that matter, but that's the way big companies think, anything that might lose them so much as a penny must be stopped. Or, at least, thats how their legal/marketing departments think, because I doubt anyone who actually helped make the game will ever actually hear about it. So please, continue working on your mod, I know I and many others can't wait for it, but just don't use any of the assets from the actual game. Oh, btw, does anyone know where I might be able to find a copy of the game's EULA? I've looked, but can't find it anywhere. I've had the same problem with Oblivion and the CS too.
