TheTerminator2004
The reason no-one bothers prosecuting people who make, maybe a sword or two from a game is because there's no point- would you rather play a Final Fantasy game, or play an Oblivion mod which adds one weapon from Final Fantasy? TCs, however, are different. Vivendi, for example, thought MEMod was a threat to them, because they were developing a LotR RPG at the time, and they were worried that people would just play MEMod instead, as it was almost as good as proper game, and free. The same could apply here- if Nintendo think this TC is a threat to their profits, then they will shut it down. If they don't, they won't. It's as simple as that. They may even think it'll help improve their profits because people will play it, like it, and decide to buy the actual game, so they might even support this project. Theres just no way to know, without asking them. Also, I should probably point out that when the license in a game refers to modifying it, it is generally referring to people modifying parts of it, generally the source code, and then releasing it as their own game. Mods, in Oblivion at least, don't count as modifications to the game, they count as aditions- after all, you aren't modifying the actual game in any way, you are, effectively, releasing patches for it. Also, unless you're modifying meshes, it can't be used outside their game anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
Legendary Slyther
Just to let you all know, since I'm making Hyrule for Oblivion, I'm also shipping it into my other mod project 'Assault of the U.S.F.', this might take longer than expected. So I don't think it will be done on January. I'm currently working on not only Hyrule itself, but also, various landscapes, new cities, etc. You may ask yourself 'How is he gonna get this done in less than two months', and I have a solution to your question. The reason why I might not finish this fast enough is due to my lack of fun time, and mod time. As you can see, I modify Oblivion, and I sometimes play with my mods, so please be patient. I know you zelda fans are excited to play a Zelda-based scenario. Not playing the Oblivion landscapes, but explore Hyrule IN Oblivion. Also, I'll be working on quests when I move back home to the states. So, I'm almost done with my work on Hyrule Castle, so I'll be moving on the other landscapes, and this may take longer than expected. Coming soon. With regards....- Legendary Slyther

Legendary Slyther
Well, good luck getting it done... By the way, have NOA replied yet? Took too long for a response, so I didn't bother. This isn't illegal unless I try to make a profit off from it. So I continue from this point.
TheTerminator2004
Well, just carry on as you are, until you get a response. If you don't get one, then it's their own fault- you asked if it was illegal, and they didn't say it wasn't, so... Anyway, if you can get it done when you say you will(Are you working 12 hours a day on it or something?), I look forward to playing it :) If not... well, I still look forward to playing it, just a little later :P

That's how long I work on CS. I made it back home tonight, and I'm going to be working on Ordon village next. Don't worry. It'll be out eventually.
Septim741
If it's concerning anybody, either you (author) could email nintendo and get their approval, or you (others) could email nintendo yourselves and bring this to their attention. Though I'm sure if the author informed them of it, rather than doing it behind their back, this would be so much more likely to be approved. Good luck!
