TheTerminator2004
Well, they're less likely to punish you if you're not doing anything to hurt their company, but you're still breaking copyright law, and even if Nintendo don't do anything about (and they may very well do- there's no way to know for sure. They would be quite within their rights to do so, and even if there's a chance they might not, it's still not worth taking the risk), someone else could. One of the other development houses who've worked on Zelda in the past, for example. Well, good luck, anyway :)
SlythersALT
Unfortunately I have attempted to change my e-mail address to my new one, but however, I ran into a problem. It is somehow not validating in my opinion, so I may as well have to post with this one. If you can see my main saying it's validating, then you'll know what I mean. I'm doing my best to try and fix my account, but I sure hope somebody helps with this one. by the way Terminator, I don't really know if you're telling the truth or not about the copyright laws. Maybe I wasn't clear. If I sold this to the public other than give it for free, then that would be where it will reach the stage of prosecution. I'm still not stopping. But, thanks again!
TheTerminator2004
Well, what I'm trying to say is that you are, basically, taking their intellectual property, and giving it away for free. That'd be like me taking all the meshes and textures from Oblivion, and uploading them to a website, so that people who don't own Oblivion can use them. They are both protected by almost exactly the same copyright law, so the end result is almost exactly the same: Either they like what you're doing and let you carry on, or they don't like what you're doing and file a lawsuit. If it wasn't two in the morning over here, and I weren't about to go to bed, I'd go look up Zelda's EULA, and prove it to you. Maybe another time. Oh, and the reason I'm persisting with this is that a) I really want to see this mod finished, and available to download, not finished and promptly taken off the net by Nintendo's lawyers, and b) I don't want to see you punished for simply trying to make a tribute to the amazing franchise that is Zelda. SlythersALT
Well, ok fine. I'll ask Nintendo again just to be sure. If you really think it's that serious which I doubt it is, then I'll do it for us. But what I'm about to tell them is everything I done so far on the mod project. If they say no, then looks like I really don't have a choice, but I doubt they would say no. You might never know as you said. I'll give it another shot, but I won't be making a profit for recreating everything myself, even if they said no. I don't know if what you said is true, but I think due to what other people said, I think you're getting a little skeptical about this, so don't take me offensively, but I do. So, you should pretty much see that even if the way the triforce looks, and if you might think it's Nintendo property, then I re-made it myself. I 100% agree with Stokes as far as it takes. You seem a little too excited about what might happen. I wouldn't call this hurting their company if I'm not selling this to the public. I doubt it will reach the stage where Nintendo will take action. But still, the credit will go to Nintendo.
IamBatosai
Hey sorry to say this but I just got a crap load of schoolwork recently. So I'm not gonna be able to work on this. Sorry man. :(
SlythersALT
Hey sorry to say this but I just got a crap load of schoolwork recently. So I'm not gonna be able to work on this. Sorry man. :( It's alright. I understand. But there's no need to rush. Take your time. Maybe you might have time after your work. As for me, I don't have much schoolwork as most of you do. That's why I'm mostly working on my project. So, if you don't get it done right away, then don't worry. You can still finish it with the time you have left over. :)
TheTerminator2004
Sure, they probably won't do anything about it. I just don't see the point in taking such a big risk, when not taking it would require so little effort. Besides, if you do ask them, and it turns out you can't do it, then it's better to find out before you enter all the names int the CS, so you don't then have to go through everything to rename it. And if you ask them, for all we know, they might support the idea- needless to say, that'd be pretty useful. So, whats your progress so far? I still don't believe you can finish it before Christmas :P
SlythersALT
So, whats your progress so far? I still don't believe you can finish it before Christmas :P  Well, I've done Ordon village. I'm actually working on the boss stages is the reason why I'm not really working on the villages. I'm working on Kakariko right now. I'll be adding the characters and rest of the quests after the landscape is done. :P Also, I'm pretty sure I should get the response from NOA soon. I just asked last time I posted.
