Ships were ESSENTIAL to the viking culture and way of life so if Skyrim is really supposed to be Nordic they better damn well have longboats at the very least. Since many Scandinavians served as guardians of the Byzantine Emperor in the Varangian Guard, a questline inspired by this would be cool too.
