Kry11ic
I'm working on a simple mod in the GECK, and I'm pretty sure I need Navmesh (correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Navmesh is what basically guides the AI's around the map and help them recognize what is what and where it is and how to navigate around, to, or through it) and I'm trying to get enemies to stay on platforms and walk around on them and what not, but they're simply not spawning on the platforms I put down, and they don't move around much. I'm not sure if Navmesh will fix this, and if it doesn't then can someone let me know how to?In any case, I would still like to learn how to Navmesh, so I won't come across a Navmesh problem for my future mods. If anyone is willing to help me or give me tips, I would greatly appreciate it :)
davidlallen
The best way to learn about navmeshing is to start at the main geck page and type "navmesh" into the search box. This will give a number of links to read. The first one is called "navmesh tutorial", and it will lead you through navmeshing step by step. If your creatures aren't *moving* in your new areas, this is certainly the problem. I am not sure if lack of navmesh will prevent creatures from *spawning*; but it could be. Add the navmesh and see if that solves the problem.
LordGawaine
You can also Auto-Generate the Navmesh which speeds things up... it's not perfect, but it's a good start if you want to quickly navmesh an area.... auto generate it, then modify the mistakes in it.
