Recently I reinstalled the game, updated it. All was well, no problems. Then downloaded and installed utilities and the like (FOMM, NVSE, New Vegas Configator, FNVedit). Did a few changes to my ini. settings with configator. Then I installed the mods, here's my load order:

I hope this does it. . ..esp (Merged patch for Caliber and JillBSAA suit mod)

I'm running an animations replacer and MTUI as well. Oh and a type 3 body replacer. Anyways the game runs fine, but after playing for a while the game CTDs, you know a "New Vegas has stopped working, close program" thing, (half an hour is the longest I've managed to go), at first I just thought it was one of those usual CTDs that make this game so infamous (lol). But then when i try to reload it CTDs as well. Tried starting a new game (created 4 different save backups for that one too), same circumstance CTD, same story for all 4 save files when i try to reload any of them. . . New game works though. Also its worth mentioning that when i try to master update(FNVedit) new game CTDs as well after the intro (during or after the load).

Help, i don't want to be stuck in Goodsrpings forever. :(

Edit: After some testing I've noticed that the crashes usually happen when changing cells and that any saves made near the time of the crash will crash as well when attempting reload.

i run over 55 mods, and the game runs like a clock, but i think if you don't use BOSS (better oblivion sorting software) you should start using it, it will automatically sort your mods, so the load doesn't make the mods go berzerk, but some mods you have to place yourself.

Thanks for the reply. Anyways, I don't think its load order/conflict related. I've checked for conflicts with FNVedit several times and even created a merged patch. And as for BOSS, I used the one FOMM comes with to "optimize" my load order. Could you tell me what is the difference between the one FOMM has and the standalone version? But anyways I'll try it out anyways and see what happens.

The difference between the standalone BOSS and the similar function in FOMM is that the standalone works. It also supplies more information about compatibility issues for each plugin.

Always create a new merged patch when changing mods, but never run a MasterUpdate in New Vegas.

You're well under the stable limit on the number of plugins to run. Between Project Nevada, WME, Weapon Mod Vending Machines, Frequency, EVE, More Perks, and all the compatibility patches for all of them to play nice together I usually have a load order between 100 and 120 plugins.

What settings did you change with the Configator?

About BOSS, yeah I noticed that as soon as I ran it, good stuff. I wonder why I didn't use it before.

Why shouldn't I do a master update?

Well (thinking about settings that could cause any kind of trouble), I set my number of havok threads to 2 and I set everything between threaded morpher and load lip files in background to ON. I've done it in my past install and never really caused me any trouble as far as I can recall, but if you have any suggestions they are more than welcome. Oh and I also increased my preload size limit to 50 mb and set "use hard drive cache" to ON. I also increased my audio cache size to 4096 and set multi-threaded audio ON.

Turn multi-threaded audio off. I've only ever heard bad things about this setting. I've never toggled the hard drive cache option.

MasterUpdate was a function added to FO3Edit to fix random crashes caused by one of the Fallout 3 official patches (1.5, iirc). The problem the MasterUpdate function solves is not present in New Vegas, and can actually cause mod conflicts in some configurations.

I've turned multi-threaded audio off, still crashes. I also tried adding the d3d9.dll file, still crashes.

I looked around a bit and it seems the crash is caused by msvcrt.dll (Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0000a3da). Any ideas?
