As for your post, gaps at the neck are on the actual mesh. There really isn't any good way to get rid of them just due to how weighting happens between two different pieces. Even two verticies with the same exact location, and same exact weighting, will pull apart if they're part of two seperate objects. As with any armor mod, those who made it tried their best to reduce the effect. However since not all people are equally capable at fine weighting, There may be differences between meshes for the same body type. Even if you had the software to make thses changes, as easy as they may seem, it really isn't. If you are using a non-standard head mesh, this may be even more of an issue.
