I downloaded a camping mod , but it don't seem to work any ideas how i can solve this issue.. I can buy the tent but i don't get any spell to summon it.

And with "Unnecessary Violence II" how do i select Dual-Wield?

Have you read the discussion on the mod page to see if there were any reports of a similar problem? If you did and there weren't, did you report it there to the modder for their response?

 

If they didn't respond, please list all your mods in loading order. It may help us sort out what's getting in the way. :)

There are at least a half dozen mods that could fit your description - "a camping mod" and "it doesn't seem to work" we need specifics in order to be able to help.

 

What camping mod? A name and link are needed.

In what way does it not work? Does it show in your data list? Did you enable it?(check the box)

I was suppossed to get a spell but i didn't get it , but i'm still able to buy the tent's at the merchant. I'm running it in "MOD-Manager"

The spell is only added when OBSE 20 is detected. Just install that and it will work fine.

The spell is only added when OBSE 20 is detected. Just install that and it will work fine.

 

 

I have tried several times but i have no idea how it works + i'm using the steam version.

Would be nice if you could give me step to step instructions on how to download OBSE , thanks.

The step by step instructions are included with the OBSE download. :psyduck:

 

OBSE is NOT a mod and does not install like a mod. It is a script extender program that adds features to the game program. It MUST be started before starting the game - a program is included to do this for you automatically - The OBSE_loader.exe.

 

When you unzip it, unzip into a new folder to make it easier. Make a new folder - name it OBSE. Example: C:\downloads\OBSE. Put the downloaded file in that folder. Using any unzipping program, unzip the downloaded OBSE into that folder. Most will unzip it there by default - unless you tell them to unzip to some other place.

 

Then find the Obse_readme.txt that will be in the files you unzipped. Open that with any program that can read a text file - any word processor or wordpad will open it.

 

Because your mod requires OBSE, it will NOT work without it. And trying to use a mod that requires OBSE without having OBSE already running will often crash your game.

 

ALWAYS read all of the documentation on a mod. Not all mods install the same way. Many mods REQUIRE something else to work. Don't make the noob mistake of installing a bunch of mods all at once - That will cost a lot of time trying to figure out which one is causing a problem.

 

I recommend holding off on Unnecessary violence until you are more familiar with how mods work. Start with the easy mods and work up to a complex mod like Unnecessary violence. :thumbsup:

I have a bunch of mod's installed probaly i should back them up and reinstall Oblivion.

Also keep in mind, with Steam it's different. The obse_loader.exe won't help you there. I'm not using Steam, so what I'm telling now is only hear-say, but there's a DLL coming with OBSE specifically meant for Steam and you need to enable the "Steam community" or something like that(? no clue what that is) for OBSE to work from the Steam loader.

 

It should be mentioned in the installation instructions of OBSE though. Was just wondering why you wrote "last time i started the exe. file it wouldn't work" while specifically telling us you're on Steam in another post. :huh:
