dormat1
I have been having trouble finding the magetallow candles. I have frostcrag tower and bought all of the enhancements but she did not have the candles. Who, What, or Where do I need to go/talk to to get the candles? Or if someone out there has a console code that works I'll take that also. the 2 that i found online dont work. Thanks Dormat1.
RatcatcherOfKvatch
She has them, they're just in a different inventory class than you would expect. I think they're in the same inventory class as stuff like gems and gold nuggets and repair hammers, down at the very bottom. But I might be wrong. RatcatcherOfKvatch
Might you have already bought them and forgotten? Check your own inventory and make sure you didn't buy them already. (Yes, I once made a very similar mistake.) if the candles are well and truly gone you can switch off the plugin, run the game with it off, save the game, switch the plugin back on, and that will reinitialize everything. You'll get a warning message, but unless you've already stashed your fortune in the Frostcrag basement you can ignore the warning. I stopped using Frostcrag Spire as it didn't seem very ... I don't know, sporting I guess. The Archmage's Tower is something you have to earn. Something like Frostcrag Spire should at least be extremely expensive. And the whole point of you starting the game as a prisoner and a nobody is that you begin with nothing. "Nothing except a massive Wizard Fortress I inherited from my long-lost uncle," is ridiculously cheesy. It's weird; maybe the Spire wouldn't be so crassly out-of-place if the Archmage's Tower had been a little more impressive. The right way to have introduced something so impressive would be to have Aurelinwe inherit it but her and her husband not wanting to leave the Imperial City she puts it up for sale. Whether you want to add a dramatic quest involving a bidding competitor and his gang who won't take "you're outbid" for an answer or whether you just cough up the cash -- an appropriately large sum -- for the deed at least you would have earned the place.
