Munki77 Posted September 25, 2011 Share Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) Hi all,I'm new to modding for Fallout but not a complete noob as I used to create maps for Half Life using the old World Hammer tool, however I am new to modifying/creating models.I have used the wealth of knowledge available and have downloaded all the tools I need and some pretty fantastic tutorials but I'm having a little trouble installing nifscripts for blender and wondered if someone could help.Every time I run the installer I get the error message I have attached to this post as a screen shot.I have tried the various suggestions on the internet like restarting my computer and trying to install straight after but to no avail.I think the problem lies with the fact I am using Windows XP Home and can't turn off the UAC as there is no option for it in the home edition (Mr Gates thinks us mere mortals can't be trusted with our own security).Any help would be greatly appreciated. Failing that can anyone suggest another program to use instead of Blender?As there is a wealth of Blender tutorials out there I would prefer to use that so would there be any way to convert nif files to a Blender friendly file perhaps using another 3D studio and then convert them back after?
