Creating a functional bayonet/UBGL/Masterkey mod

Seriously, how did other mods do it?

 

Did they just use a simple hotkey hotswap for the weapons? What are the scripts to implement such a mod?

 

I just thought it would be cool because I wanted to create a functional Ripper Bayonet for a weapon I was working on.
