asd000
I really like urrl's CM characters for the most part, but they make the game a little boring with their maxed out stats and tendency to summon atronachs that burn everything to a crisp in seconds (or otherwise jump in my way and attack me). Would it be easier/safer to make a new CM companion and somehow copy another's appearance that relies on several other mods, or to edit an existing CM companion's stats into a "normal" character? David Brasher
If you have a bit of modding experience, it is not that hard to build a new CM Partner in a new mod. The documentation included in the mod is excellent. There is more of it than you would probably care to read. But it is a lot easier to edit an existing mod. You could very quickly open up a copy of a mod that you like and tweak the existing CM Partners to be the way you like them. One difference is that you are free to upload the first type of mod. With the second type, you would need to get permission first from the person who made the mod with the partner. Where several mods are involved, you would probably do best copying the mod and editing your new copy. Change everything so that it is no longer the same as the original and identifiable. You could modclean out large portions of it. Using this approach, all the masters it requires would already be linked.
