RobertSummers
Ever since I've gotten back to playing NV I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the distance needed to spot map markers in the compass for undiscovered locations. I remember that at release date, from Goodsprings and nearby areas you could see 3-4-5 markers in your compass in some spots. Now I stand in front of Goodsprings Saloon and I don't even see the undiscovered map marker for Goodsprings Cementery. I recall that this started in OWB, when the markers for the mysterious cave and Elijah's Watch couldn't be found until you were just a few feet away from them. In my current game, however, most markers show up at a range of roughly 30 in-game meters. As another example, I remember that as soon as I ventured into Zion Valley in the Honest Hearts DLC, the compass was FILLED with undiscovered map markers. When I visited Zion in my last game I remember seeing none. Finally, here's a screenshot:http://steamcommunity.com/id/durazno/screenshot/540654438396125722That's my character in front of the Goodsprings Saloon, pointing at the Goodsprings Cementery. If my memory serves me right, this marker used to be visible from the spot. However, I've posted it here hoping that some of you could help me realize if I'm just beeing paraonid, if the devs have tweaked something for everyone, or if indeed there's something wrong with my game. So, for all of you willing to lend a hand, just stand in that same spot and tell me if you see undiscovered map markers. I can see no map marker other than the one for Goodsprings. Let it be stated that I have an original, Steam version of the game with the latest patch applied, all DLCs installed (as of today, gun runners arsenal hasn't been released yet) no mods and no pirated pre-order bonuses.
