icecreamassassin
I'm ready to pull my hair out over this one as it looks like everything works right and is set up properly, but obviously there is something wrong. I have an NPC who has several AI packages that involve him getting out of bed at 6am, eating for two hours, going to a location and using an object for an hour, going to another spot nearby and playing an idle animation, then moving to someplace else and doing something else for a few hours, etc. Each AI package is set properly via the schedule, and the only conditional on any package is that a global variable has a certain value (which is set properly by the quest stage) I have all AI packages flagged with "must reach location" and every AI pack has a specified Xmarkerheading or persistent reference that they are targeted to. I'll come to the NPC and stand back and observe him and he will not move on to his next package. I have observed him using his mixing bowl (with the animation and animobjects working just fine) and he'll do it indefinitely. I'll use the wait option and only if I've waited for several hours will he SOMETIMES be somewhere else doing something else he is supposed to be doing, but he doesn't seem to transition smoothly between packages. I don't have the "continue if pc near" flagged on anything, so that's not the reason. I can't figure it out, please advise :) Edited September 27, 2011 by icecreamassassin
icecreamassassin
I swear I'll never understand this thing. I had my NPC at 75 energy and it wasn't working, then I changed it to 100, and the AI packages transitioned fine, but no idle animations, then I put it to 50 and both seem to be working fine, how strange
