strike2007
I tried to install Oblivion and it said '''Do you want to completely uninstall Oblivion'''' I pressed yes then i try again but the same thing happen. I knew that I've had oblivion before but i uninstall ed it. So then a friend send the Oblivion folder so i could at least play it. I can play it know but i cant ''Patch it'' because my Oblivion launcher doesn't work at all i start it (works perfectly) then it say when i press 'Play' ''it doesn't work to find procedurstartadress _BinkCopyToBufferRect@44 i DLL-file binkw32.dll''' and i tried to press 'Data' and it says Unable to find any data files. Your Oblivion installation appers to be damaged. Please uninstall Oblivion and reinstall it from the original disc(s). Then later on i saw that ''data'' works but its the Data folder for the mods is it the C:\WINDOWS folder so i move it to the oblivion main folder. But then it appers again in the same folder ( :excl: WTF? :excl: ) and the patch doesn't work because Oblivion installation launcher doesn't work and i need patch v1.2.0416 so i can install '''Knights of Nine and Shivering Isles''' So everything is like a Evil fuc'ing Evil Circle I hope i can break the circle but i cant do it alone. But with your help i can  PS: Sorry for my english :D
TheTerminator2004
Delete EVERYTHING to do with Oblivion, your C:\Program Files\Oblivion folder, your My Documents\My Games\Oblivion folder, everything. That might fix it. If it doesn't, you'll have to start removing things from the registry, but you'll want to ask someone slightly more qualified than me about that, as it's the most inefficient, convoluted system in the entire history of computing, and if you do one thing wrong, you could break Windows. So be careful. And let this be a lesson to you: NEVER install a game (or any program for that matter), in any other way than using the proper installer. The installer creates all sorts of registry keys, and dll files which you can't copy from one computer to another, and the game needs these to run properly.
