bben46
Possible save game bloat? Some mods, those that use a certain function will cause bloat - the size of the save games increases dramatically with each new save. I think there is a function in Wrye Bash to help with this, but not positive. What is the size of your recent saves?

bben46
Nope, not bloated - for reference, my current game is at 9,156KB @ HeyYou. I also do not currently have a bashed patch - I also don't currently have FCOM or any other mod that actually requires it installed. I do use Wrye bash for some functions, but more often use OBMM and install most mods using OMODs. But I do have some that are installed using Wrye Bash installer and some that are installed by dropping into the data folder. - This was done purposefully as a test to see what problems it would cause to mix the various install methods. My results were it really doesn't matter which method you use to install. They all work and all still work when mixed. Uninstall is a different matter though. Drop into data can be a pain to uninstall if you don't know where to look for all of the parts. OMODS uninstall fine MOST of the time. Mods installed using Wrye Bash do a cleaner uninstall with no problems found (yet).
shinobi2008
2.19 MB. Is that bloated? Did you install and reinstall any other applications? You might want to consider getting a registry cleaner if that's the case. I think it worked for me for the time being. Of course, I probably have to play a bit more to be sure but I'm not hearing any beep noise when I exit the game after registry cleaning. :excl: If you decide to clean your registry make sure you backup any important files. Registry Cleaner is the one I used but I'm sure there are more out there.
DucksAreReal
Try disabling Salmo The Baker..... (shot in the dark.) And you really need a bashed patch.Nope still doesn't do anything. If it's no trouble, could you elaborate on the importance of the bashed patch? Will anyone who doesn't use it get destined for constant crashing? I don't mind a crash every now and then but a crash like my problem here is what I mind a lot. 2.19 MB. Is that bloated? Did you install and reinstall any other applications? I'd even recommend using that instead of Registry Cleaner because it has more uses.
shinobi2008
Well funny thing is that I also used the CCleaner in hopes of fixing any errors but I didn't find it useful at all. Why not try that if you haven't already? You have nothing to lose well except your files maybe but like I said backup your files. It's up to you and good luck.
bben46
Before using any registry cleaner it is important that you back up the registry in case the cleaner removes something it shouldn't have. They can remove things like passwords, Site cookies that allow you to be identified by that site, links to files on usb and other removable media, links to cloud applications and other stuff that you would like to keep. I use ccleaner and it has a function to allow a back up. And a function to keep selected cookies, links and a few other good features - Be sure to read the documentation before using any cleaner so you will know what it will, and will not remove.
