icecreamassassin
So I'm having an issue with my NPC's I'm trying to get them to go upstairs to a doorway that takes them to another cell, but as soon as they walk to head that way, they get stuck on the floor below the door and wander back and forth like they're trying to figure out how to get to it. I have the path nodes all set up and have a proffered path indicated which takes them right to the doorway, but it isn't working. Any other tips? fg109
Try using "tcg" in the console and seeing if there's anything in the way. I made some custom stairs before and it was impossible for the NPCs to climb them because of a collision problem.
David Brasher
In some cases it is important to use blue path nodes instead of red ones for vital routes on bridges and stairs. Problems can be really acute in multi-story buildings where one section of path-gridding is directly above another. Be sure there is not a break in your path-grid -- a couple of points that didn't get the line made to connect them.
icecreamassassin
yeah I actually had the blue path set up, it was the "Preferred" path. I did find that there was a break in the path though that was concealed by the stairs so I didn't see it but I figured it out. Thanks for the input
