Just another topic like my OWB one. I'd like to know what you thought about Lonesome Road. I found it to be one of the better DLCs, it can't compare to OWB, but most definitely it adds to the story line and character reference. I enjoyed it very much. So let me know what you thought.

well, i really enjoyed it

like you said, it can't really compare to Old World Blues, but that's fine by me, cause i'm not comparing them

in terms of storyline, it is top notch, and reveals a lot of details about the past of The Courier, which is something i was waiting for for quite a long time, but they made it so well, that it tells a lot without telling all that much (i know, sounds confusing :psyduck:)

what i mean is that it reveals a lot of good details, without making your story an open book, and so still retains a lot of the mystery of your past (though perhaps a bit too much, as i would have loved more information, but maybe that isn't related to the DLC and it's contents, so all is well)

in terms of items, i can't say i really got to use the new weapons added by the DLC, but i rather like them

can't wait for the LR update of the Underground Bunker mod, to hang some of these beauties on my wall

in terms of creatures and characters, Ulysses rocks as he should be, the voice actor is damn amazing, and he really transfers all the emotions behind the words and actions of Ulysses

also, ED-E is a great companion to have, and the recordings he plays are great, and finally reveal some more of it's history (pretty nice, for someone who just beeps at you )

as for the enemies, i really like them, though i rather hate the tunnelers at the same time

i mean, they are strong, and give rather little (their skin isn't used for anything, but than again, that's what mods are for, right??)

the Legion and NCR soldiers are awesome, and they really make sure you remember the war that happened in The Divide, before you tore the crap out of it

the environment is really cool, treacherous and deadly, and that is just how it should have been, and i really like it this way

the only main problem i had with this, is the rather stupid laser Nuke detonator

i found it a rather silly weapon, but it doesn't bother me that much

at least it provided me some nice views of great explosions

so all in all, the DLC is great, but it's a damn shame it's the last (or maybe, hopefully, it isn't??)

and it provides a nice conclusion, before the final battle at Hoover Dam, and the end of the game

Shouldn't this be in the "New Vegas Discussion" forum?

Not really, we're talking about a DLC, not NV itself.

Um, this is the mod talk forum, general discussion of a NV DLC should be in the general discussion forum...And I'm not sure but I think Lonesome Road is part of NV, unless I am dreaming and nothing is what it appears to be?

A DLC is merely an official mod, so this is fine where it is.

The 10mm SMMG was a beautiful creation, and made the DLC worth the money by itself. The Red Glare (?) missile launcher was equally orgasm-inducing. While I did think it was a tad too short, especially as it was linear and as it was linear, it really needed to be longer; I thoroughly enjoyed playing through it. It also expands massively on ED-E, meaning ED-E has firmly replaced Rex as cyper companion. Ulysses was awesome right the way through until the final battle - he was too invincible. In the battle he got caught behind some rubble, and I emptied 4 full clips of the SMMG into his chest from five feet away (300 10mm rounds) and he just stood there and rofled. Nothing should be able to survive that kind of firepower; nothing. Not Legate Lanius, not Ulysses, not myself; nothing.

I would recommed the DLC to anyone, even if only for the weapons, Elite Riot Gear (very sexeh), and ED-E upgrades (free ammo and repairs ftw!).
