FallenHeroX
i noticed there are quite a few dead mods looming around nexus modders if you dont plan on finishing your mod or are incapable of finishing it due to real life issues you should hand the project over to another fellow modder who is capable and willing to finish it. also someone needs to form a modding team who can handle all of the request down at the mod request forum because were all just wasting our time posting our request down there. and thats my rant of the day. Thandal
Or you know... a) If you're a modder, you can just ignore whinging from players who "want", but can't "do". :whistling: b) If you're a player who wants, but can't find, you can always learn to do it yourself! Seriously, regarding the first point: No modder is under any obligation to do anything with their own work, not even finishing it. And regarding the second: The Nexus is a Community of voluntary participation. Postings to the "Mod Request" forums are simply "wish lists", they aren't somone's "to-do" list. If no one takes up the task... then no one takes up the task. Simple as that. :armscrossed:
Matth85
wasting our time Yeah. The part where somebody takes a week off their time to do your request, but then can't finish it, is certanily wasting your time.I am sorry, but unless you pay us for doing it, we are not obligated to finish it. So far, nobody have paid me for anything. If a modder says he'll do it, it usually means: "If I get time, I will do it. If I can't finish it, too bad.". Unless we get paid, we don't prioritize modding over anything IRL. This is not work. Sorry, but your post really grinded my gear :/ Don't mean to sound offensive here! Cheers,Matth
bben46
I want to play the game, not make mods. I don't care that it actually takes someone else time and effort to make those mods. I want them and I want them now. And Heck no I'm not going to try to learn anything to contribute back to the community. Just hurry up and make those mods I demand. :verymad: OR: You can pick up the ball yourself. You want to see that great mod idea finished? Learn to mod - Try to contact the original modder and get their permission to finish it. It's possible that some real life event has caused them to drop out of modding for a short period and they plan to come back to the mod eventually. Or they have abandoned the project and will willingly hand it over, along with all of their previous work on the mod. If you cannot contact them, using their concept, make the mod from scratch. The way YOU want it. The downside is you may become addicted to modding and spend all of your game time making mods instead of playing. :teehee:
